Have you won any races?

Yes. The Nifty 50 50K road race - 2001 and the Wapack 35M Trail race (2001, 2002, 2003)

What's the longest distance you’ve run?

52.4 miles (officially), but with the extra running around in Hopkinton between the baggage buses and finding my chute, it might be closer to 54.

What do you think about when you’re running for that long?

All sorts of things from random thoughts to surrounding scenery, difficult issues as work or home (raising 2 teenage daughters?!). Some of my best thoughts/ideas come during a run. It's remembering them when I’m done that's sometime challenging.

How many miles a week do you run to prepare for the Heart2Heart Run?

I'll peak at approximately 80. The most important part of the training is back-to-back long runs (16-20+ mile) runs on the weekends (or any 2 consecutive days I can fit in). They teach you to be efficient and condition the legs to “run tired” while still maintaining good form and technique.
