This year’s Heart2Heart Run will be the 7th time Bill Nawn has completed a
Double Boston Marathon run to raise funds for charity. To date, these
“Ultra Charity Runs” have raised over $95,000 with $40,000 of that for the Lown Foundation alone.
Bill started running in
the late 1980s after graduating from Merrimack College. He began
marathoning in 1989 by running the Marine Corps Marathon where he
qualified for his first Boston Marathon in 1990.
The 2008 Boston
Marathon will be Bill’s 12th Boston and 20th marathon overall. He started competing in ultra running (distances longer than the standard 26.2 mile marathon distance) in 1998 and has a number of top finishes and wins to credit.
Bill currently is the Director of Operations for CTS Electronics Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., (www.ctscorp.com) running their New England factory located in Londonderry, NH.
He lives in Southern New Hampshire with his wife Mary (who has completed 12 marathons of her own including 8 Boston) and their 2 daughters.
